I have a Planar PDP-42BK with an LG PDP42V5 screen on it. I am wondering if this screen is compatible with other manufacturers Plasma TV's? I ask because the input board on my Planar is bad and I can not find a replacement for it, not one that may even work with my other all LG boards in this TV. I have contacted Planar and they are useless, want me to buy a new TV from them for a discount if I give them the old one. While this is all well and good, why would I want another Planar if the first one I have did not last three years and was not used much. When I say not used much this TV was powered on and used one day a week for almost three years for maybe 6 hours each of those single days. I really would like to just get another TV with a broken panel and put this good one into that TV if it is possible. Or somehow get the input board I need which is the only non-LG board in the whole TV. And ironically enough does not have a part number anywhere on it. Please help as I hate to just throw away this TV.
