I would really appreciate any help you guys can give me.

I'm trying to connect a VRS-7100 receiver to the Bose Cinemate 2.1 speakers. Here are the symptoms of the problem after I connected the Bose to the "Video 1 Rec Out" connection (which is the sole audio output from the receiver, as far as I can tell).

1. I'm getting sound from the tuner input. I don't have an antenna connected, so it's just static, but I'm able to adjust the volume with the Bose remote, so it appears that I connected to the correct audio output connection (I think that's what it means, anyway).

2. I've got a 360, PS2, and DVD player connected via optical out to an Audio Authority auto-sensing switch box. That box has optical output into the Kenwood receiver ("Video 1 optical input"). But I'm not getting any sound, at least through the speakers--headphones work fine.

I've tried connecting the optical output from the 360 directly into the "GAME" optical input on the front panel of the receiver to exclude the auto-switch as a possible problem. I can hear it fine through headphones, but no sound through the speakers. I can also hear it fine through headphones using the switch box).

So I am totally and completely lost at this point. I'm getting sound on one input but not the others, although I can hear them fine through headphones and the receiver indicates it's getting an input signal.

Any suggestions? Thank you for your help.
