Just noticed that the third season of Rescue Me went up today on Amazon. The 10% promotion is already applied, which is great that we don't have to wait for it like usual, but the BD is 20 bucks more than the SD set.

I'll be buying it regardless, but I'm curious as to what you guys think, is this an absurd price to ask, or can you justify paying that much of a premium for HD?

i saw that also and 20 bucks is about right...you figure 5 bucks more per disc for the 4 discs and you get blu ray quality...i cant wait for the release

Yeah, but when Weeds is $18 for the whole 10 episode season and here it's $50 for just 13 episodes, I just can't bring myself to do it...

I'm really into Sci-Fi though, and wish we'd see some of that. Where's Lionsgate's long promised Dune (Sci-Fi Channel) miniseries? What happened to the Stargate box sets we were going to get?

But I still haven't seen much of the series and I'm not going to start with season 3, and I'm not going to purchase S1 & S2 on DVD to catch up. I understand their logic of putting S3 out first on BD, but for those who have never seen the series I think it's a non-starter.

FYI: According to Amazon, Weeds S1 is 283 minutes.

Rescue Me i want good show. now smallville is 5 discs 30gigs a pop most are 16-24gigs a pop. was $55.99 hd dvd
