I have been tracking my RS1 online. It is supposed to be delivered today. This just popped up:
Apr 6, 2007 9:44 AM Delivery exception FAIRFIELD, NJ Holiday - Business closed
They have decided that my Aunt's house is a business that is closed for the holiday without trying to deliver or call. I called Fedex and they are going to have the local fedex depot call me with-in the next two hours or so. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up from there. I took down my old projector this morning and have people coming over tonight to watch movies. I had better be able to work this out.
So if you are expecting a delivery today, stay on top of it.

Mine did say for delivery today and I called fedex today. but it is looking more like it hasn't been picked up. I guess I'm part of the group for next week.

Unless someone checks the "residence" box on the shipping label, FedEx assumes the delivery address is a business. It's strange that they would assume a business would be closed for the holiday. None of the businesses around here are closed...

You want to know another freaky story. Fed Ex was to deliver a PJ to my house 2 weeks ago. My wife was at home to sign for it. The Fed Ex truck rolls up and the guy runs up to the house with only a tag (don't know what it said) without EVEN knocking or ringing the doorbell. Luckily my wife sees him going back to the truck and opens the door and tells him "I'm here" ... so he then goes to the back of the truck to get the package and takes his tag back.
This guy intentionally did not want to carry the package to our door OR ring the doorbell OR knock. It makes me wonder what his true intentions were.

My theory is that they had a lot of people call in "sick" today and looked for ways to reduce deliveries. I picked it up at the depot. Looking forward to dark to fully evaluate it. First reaction though, "How can anybody think this projector is too loud?" Had to get within 1 ft before I could even hear it in normal mode.

More likely the driver marked your package as a closed so he could get off early on Good Friday. The individual drivers know which businesses are closed and usually are the people responsible for that kind of thing.

I am glad you got your projector home ! Man I have been following your posts like a bad soap opera. It was killing me seeing all of the set backs. Glad to hear that the noise is a non issue for you !
Looking forward to your opinion of the projector. Hell if I still enjoy my Sony HS-10 I know I will love the RS-1 . Cheers Johnathan
Congrats Jason.
My RS1 just got here 30 seconds ago...Can't wait to hook it up...
