Hi guys,
Can I replace my TV speakers as my center speaker?
My plasma TV uses RCA cables as audio in for the speakers. If I cut up the wires and connect it to my reciever in the center speaker connection will it work?
thanks,...

I'm a little confused as to what you are trying to do.
Many of us have used the TV's speakers as a center channel by running the Center channel pre out on the receiver to the input on the TV then set the TV speakers to mono.
That doesn't seem feasible with a plasma as I assume the speakers would be very small.
If you are going the other way, running the sound out of your TV back to the receiver, this is also doable.
Be a little more specific about what you are trying to accomplish.

It might work in the sense that you'll get sound out of it, but I'd be surprised if it sounded good.
Center speakers need to be matched with the main speakers pretty closely.
IMO you should just turn off the center channel on your receiver. It will mix the center channel into your mains. Some people actually prefer it that way.

PLEASE, do not try this. If you connect the speaker terminals of your receiver to the audio inputs of your display by "cutting up" the cables to make them work, you'll end up with a blown TV audio system and/or a blown receiver.
If your receiver has a pre-amp output for the CC, you could connect it to the audio input(s) for the TV. However, as Kevin, (WallyWest) points out, it won't sound very good. Either do as Kevin suggests and mix the CC signal into the L/R signal, or get a dedicated CC speaker and hook it up properly at speaker level.
