OK. I feel so STOOPID. I entered the service menu of my LG 1930B LCD and now have a dark screen & can't re-enter( or at least can't see the menu) the service menu. I have lot's of experience here & I feel so dumb for having this problem.
Is there a CMOS reset or something else that can be done to restore to original settings ?

Did you document the sections of the SM that you modified? I did the same thing on my Samsung LCD and was able to correct it by following my notes on the SM to get back to the function that caused the problem and set it back to its default setting. This function is labeled "PWM Dimming" which seems to do nothing but turn the back light completely off while the TV is on except for brief flashes when digital graphics are activated (TV guide, user menu, volume display, etc.) I am not familiar with LG tv's so I do not know what you did in your SM, but it sounds like you changed the same function (though it probably had a different name) that I did.
As far as resetting the service menu goes, it is my understanding that SM settings can only be restored manually. I could be wrong, but that is the impression I have gotten from the many threads I have read in this forum.
