In the Mississauga store today there was a large rack of BD movies for $19 CDN . Asked when HD DVD movies would have an equal sale and they said there was nothing in the wind. Wonder what this is about?

Seriously though, the prices in Canada is way cheaper than the US. I was down in Everett this Friday and browsing through best buy to my surprise the BR movies are 3-5 dollars more than up north.

Yep, a friend of mine (and one of the nicest people in the world) died of a heart attack while he was on the waiting list to get into the doctor. :(

As for BR movies on sale, I'm hoping for some more good deals at the American Best Buy's in the near future.

If you go to Futureshop and get them to match it they will beat it by another $1.40. Every penny counts.

The prices are only for sony's older catalog releases. New releases are still pricey at BB canada.

I picked up NIN BD for $18.99 CDN at FS and SWAT for $19.99 at BB. Children of Men, HD DVD, at FS had a $54.99 sticker price :eek: With these prices my BD collection will be growing faster then the HD DVD.

Big Fish is also at $19.99.

Also, if you don't already have TFE, now would be a good time to pick it up for cheap so you can exchange it later for the re-release.

Good point spreeguy! I was not going to touch that POS, but it may save $10 or dollars later.
