Has anyone had any experience with the HDMI connection on a DVD recorder? I have a new Panasonic flat screen LCD with that connection, and I am not sure what to do with it. Is it worth waiting for the HDMI Pannys or does that not make that much difference in visual quality? Any help would be gratefully appreciated, and thanks!
I recently bought a Panasonic DMR-EH75V recorder which has an HDMI output. I connected it briefly to the HDMI input on my Panasonic 32" LCD to compare with the component-video connection. It didn't make a noticeable difference to me. I went with the component-video connection because I've used it all along with the recorder (Panasonic DMR-E85H) that preceded this one, and I'm planning to use HDMI for a good DVD player (probably the Oppo DV-981HD) to replace the cheap Phillips player that I have now.
