I have just about had it with my EH 50 not recording programs. It was working fine and then all of a sudden back to its old problems.
Anyone have any suggestions on a new machine similar to the EH50.
If your EH50 is hooked to a cable box, it may be a box problem.
Ever since some cable companies pushed thru a DST firmware change, some Pannys have stopped working properly.
If hooked to a box, you can disconnect, reset the EH50, turn clock to manual setting and DST OFF, then connect the box thru IN2.
Might work then?

I think the EH50 is a hard drive model. From what I read here, all the major brands have quit making hard drive models. I think it boils down to "what models can you find"? You may not have be able to find any right now. I have 3 working Panasonics and I am glad I don't have to go shopping for one right now. I have no clue, what the future holds for hard drive models. Good Luck!

Not sure what your problems are from your thread, so just a general info/tip below, if your recorder is working otherwise.
I record hours and hours on my 2 EH50 machines every week and have yet to have them miss a program. And I do use the On-Screen TV-Guide, with a couple of manual timers for regular weekly shows. But I do confirm that the program listings are there, usually every day.
Are you using the TV-Guide for your program schedule? Because if it does not get the listings for some reason for the day then of course the recorder will not know to record. So confirm that the listings/schedule is up to date, every day would be best.
And if you do have problems with it getting new guide data then you can always manual program the shows.
