my screen is 162" at 16x9 and 96" at native in hd. I really dont want a screen.
So I have heard conflicting reports on light or dark paint for the wall(screen). I am 20 feet from projector lense to wall and mounted at 108" high. I am using the hd 70 and satisfied with pq but would like to get the most out of the projector.

any suggestions. right now I have the wall painted antique white the ceramics from Oleary paints

If you want to reflect the most light it has to be light. The darker the less light gets reflected.

To take it to the next level you could use an optical coating. like a pearlescent topcoat. This is why most professionally manufactured screens deliver a better image than just a painted wall. They've already made the mistakes and have developed coatings that work good. That's why they are pros. The optical coating takes it to the next level in brightness.
