I have what looks to be banding but not exactly the same as I've seen reading through the forums. On the very top I have a pink band and right under that a yellow band. Both are about 2 inches and horizontal. After that everything is fine all the way down to the bottom. I've attached a picture. It seems to be more affected in lighter scenes. This never was there until I hit around the 500 hours mark. Anyone have any advice.

That looks awful. I would contact Mitsubishi or your reseller.

E-mail Mitsubishi tech support (Tsupport@mdea.com) in Irvine, Calif. You should get a quick reply. They are very responsive. They will issue a Fed Express Overnight pickup tag for your projector. In my case, with HC-5000 dust removal and LCD panel realignment for banding, repair time was less than a week and returned to me Fed Express next day at no charge. Your projector should be covered by warranty if purchased by an authorized dealer.
