I've got a 60" xbr2 that i've had for a few months now, i just noticed the other day that at startup i have a large green blob in the left center of my screen. It seems to goes away after after a few mins of turning it on. I have yet to read anyone having the green blob problem with the xbr2. Is this normal at startup even for the xbr2? Will it likely get worse? Should i call to get it repaired even though it only lasts for a few mins on statup?

Sounds like you had done enough research to be able know that there are no green blob issues with the XBR2. What puzzles me is why you hadn't researched about the fact that it is normal to have the green at startup. It is talked about in the manual and also very many times in the XBR2 threads.
