I am looking into getting a projector and selling my current tv. A 70in JVC IDLA 70g886.

I am thinking that i want to stay with an LCOS because everything i have read they are the best. I am looking at projecting to a 120" screen. At some point making that screen a 2.35:1 because i watch a ton of widescreen movies and the rest of the time i watch HDTV.

I use to have a 50in LCD Hitachi rptv and i hated the screen door effect even on HD stuff. And since LCD is known for the SDE i decided to go against that and look at DLP or LCOS projectors. But i hear that the only good DLPs are the 3 chip ones and they are very expensive.

I am really wanting a 1080p projector but i am thinking maybe stick with 720P and then upgrading later.

Any help would be greatly appreacited. I wouldnt care if it was refurbished i just want to stayt on the lower end. I dont know what that lower end is yet less then 4000 street price is the most i want to go.

thanks

Your in luck then. You should be able to find something awesome for around $5k.

Take the extra $35000 and give it to me :)

For LCOS you would be looking at the Sony Pearl. No chance you will see SDE
on the Pearl at any reasonable viewing distance.
