Hi all,
Expecting to get my RS-1 this Tuesday. I ordered my mount (the chief mount) through AV science. A couple of questions:
1. I have a Stewart Filmscreen 2.0 gain screen. It is 16x9 120 diagonal. My soffit drops from the ceiling about 15.5 inches. The screen area will be at about 17inches. How far back does the RS-1 need to be and at what height for max picture quality that fills the screen? How compromised would the picture be if I had it flush mounted to the ceiling instead of dropped on a poll? Can the projector adjustments compensate without distorting the picture to badly?

2. My walls are dark red. My ceiling is black. Would the dark red on the projector wall work as well as the black? I can still paint the screen wall black if needed, but would only do if I am going to see a significant improvement. The room is completely light controlled.

thanks for everyones future input..
Jim

come on guys... I don't get my projector for another day, hence I don't have the manual and need to get an idea of the height that the projector can be above the screen top and still compensate without distortion.

Too easy, as long as your projector in within the projector's range
