How to check the running time on the projector / lamp on a Sanyo PLV-70 ?

Hold down the up arrow on the remote for about 30 seconds. The lamp time will come up. I owned the same projector for about two years. By the way, I am in Campbell.

I don't have the remote for this unit. It didn't work when I tried it on the Up arrow of the unit itself.

I do not understand why the up arrow on the projector would not work. Try holding it down for a longer period of time. If all else fails, E-mail Sanyo Tech Support. There should be no difference between the remote key and the projector key.

According to the service manual, holding the UP pointer on the projector for 20 seconds should bring up the lamp replacement counter (the manual says it will only appear briefly). The "data" column is the number of hours.

So, it's just a number in the data field & doesn't say anything about the hours ! Also, is the number the total hours used or hours left on the lamp ?
