i just called an isf calibrater here in town and was told that they don't do rear projection units (pioneer elite pro720-hd) anymore because the tv's don't hold the calibration that long  is this true of false.

my convergence is way off on my tv and i know it should be better.
i do it manually but its still off..
does anyone else here have a similar tv and if so what are you doing to fix the problem of convergence and color?

i am tired of looking at my tv with my xbox 360 live dashboard and having a few things croped off at the top and sides.. :(

Unless there's a problem with your set's conv circuitry, then FALSE!!

Robert Jones (aka Mr Bob) is not too far from you (SF Bay Area) and specializes in CRT RPTV calibration. My guess is he could bring this set back to life. Sounds like you're having both conv and overscan issues. He's the man to fix this for you if you wish to go the ISF cal route.

If he doesn't catch this post before it drifts down the list, shoot him an email via:

There are some reports of Mr. Bob's work in the owner's calibration list that is linked at the bottom of this post. Mr. Bob has also posted in the thread. If he brings your set back write a report, and post it here. I'll include it in the list.
