a Panasonic DMR-EH75 and the HDMI picture is simply fantastic. You can stand near the television and feel as if you could step right into the scene. Still in the process of setting it up. Will take weeks to learn how to use this, but it is a step up from my DMR-ES10, and I don't think there will be too many more of these around.

The more you use the unit, the more you'll be glad you bought it. I was very surprised at how good even analog broadcast looks through my projecter using the component outputs. As a DVD player, it beats the heck out of my old second generation Toshiba.
There's a fair number of threads in this forum with good tips. The manual is a pain, but if you spend enough time just checking out all the different options in the menu, you'll find you can do a lot with the unit. And even though there's a few twists in how to navigate around using the remote, overall the menus are far easier than most cheap combo units I've used in recent years.
