Before I break out the CRO and start probing around , maybe someone has seen this problem . At certain contrast levels I get this really bad vertical squigily line pattern that looks like power supply noise . It is on all three guns , however if you turn 1 off it disappears on the other 2 colours and all looked clean .

You may come to the conclusion that the PS is running out of regulation , but it gets stranger . When you crank the contrast to 100 % it goes away . it seems to not like picture of around 70 IRE .

BTW the input is clean . I'm also going have a look at this streaking problem too , don't get too excited though, I deal with Sony electronics every day and know their convoluded methods :eek:

The 3 ribbon cables contacts to the neck boards were dirty and intermittent .
Whats more have been taking the opportunity to look into the streaking problem ,
Will discuss this at the other forum under MP mods .
