Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me in identifying the problems I am experiencing with my Samsung HLN617W. Basically what is happening is that all my s-video and video inputs is producing black flickering vertical lines (as seen in the attachment) while the component and dvi inputs are fine. I have replaced s-video and video cables and ensured they were apart from each other in case of interference but no luck. Secondly, there are times the picture would just freeze up with a distorted black and white picture and once I power off/on the tv everything is back to normal. The color wheel was replaced a few months ago and the lamp has about 3000 hrs. Please help!!!

Thanks in advance,

charles

What are you using S-Video and composite input for?

There is probably something wrong with the digital board where all of the input connectors are located.

I am using s-video for my Karaoke and other devices which do not have component or dvi outputs.

Hello I am currently experiencing the same problem with my Samsung 61" DLP TV (model HLN617WX). I have horizontal line banding in the S Video and Video inputs. The Component and DVI are fine. Could you please tell me what board you ended up replacing in your TV?

Thanks,
