My roommate's parents' Samsung HCL473W took a turn for the worse. They just ended up buying a 52" 1080p Mitsubishi DLP and put the old TV into the garage until the next garbage pickup. My roommate and I went over there (the day before garbage day) so I could set up their new TV and do some basic user-end calibration. After that was done we went to the garage to check out the old TV:

As you can see from these pics, something is seriously wrong with what the red CRT is trying to show us. We told his parents to hold off on tossing the thing in case we found out something about fixing it (we could use a new TV). My assumption is that it would need a new red CRT so I downloaded the service manual for more info. The service model is HCL473WX/XAA:

The service manual doesn't specifically say what the part# is for the red CRT in a HCL473. It does, however, list the parts for the HCL4715 and the parts that are different from the HCL4715 and HCL473. None of the CRTs are listed in the dissimilar parts section between the HCL4715 and HCL473 so I'm assuming that they use the same CRTs. I'm also guessing that the reason why I can't find any CRT parts listed for the HCL473 at www.partstore.com (or anywhere else) is due to this same confusion in the service manual. Here's the red CRT part for the HCL4715:

So this brings me to my questions (yea, finally):
1.) Can anyone confirm that the problem displayed in the pictures above are due to a faulty red CRT? If not, then what else could it be?
2.) If it is a faulty red CRT, then did I select the correct replacement according to all the clues I got from the service manual?
I would appreciate any help or input on this issue. And as always, thanks in advance.
