I have to disagree with Mick LaSalle.

I'd love to buy a copy of this, Trading Places, and Coming to America, mail them to Eddie Murphy, and ask him what the hell happened to his career. Hopefully, I shouldn't have to emphasize which movie indicates the severe drop in quality.

They'd have to pay me to even consider having this title in my collection.

This whole "Starring Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy, AND Eddie Murphy!!!" thing has to end. It used to be funny, just not anymore.

At least Coming to America had Aresio Hall in it (and is quite funny). Speaking of which, what happened to that, I thought it, and Trading Places was supposed to be coming out on BD?

I'd rather find out why in the hell so many people contributed to this film's $90 million gross at the box office.

I didn't buy it, but I did Netflix it (the BD version) and watched it last night. Nothing really new. Eddie Murphy in drag, Eddie Murphy as an Oriental man, etc. Had a few funny lines and moments, but nothing memorable. Definitely a rental only type of movie.

I netflixed this movie too, and the only reason I was able to keep watching it was because I think Thandie Newton is quite easy on the eyes (though she could use a sandwich).

Otherwise...dear GOD, it was bad.

Agreed except that Thandie looks perfect how she is. In that nice yellow dress, yummy! :D

Can't understand why so many hated this. It was hysterical, and I'm glad I bought in on HD.

Thandie is a beautiful woman, but she looked much better in MI II and Chronicles of Riddick. She had meat on her bones back then. Not sure whats up with all the women in entertainment feeling like they need to be super skinny to be beautiful.

Yeah she is pretty skinny. But she still had a good shape to her. So its all good :D
I rented it yesterday and thought some parts were funny. But it was overall pretty bad.
