I would like to take saved shows off of the DCT34121 I and watch it on my vista laptop. I notice it has all the ports on the back of the cable box, but what is better?

I guess ideally i would like to simply have a network connection to it and drag and drop files into my video folder.. if it can be that simple. Do i need specific software to watch the videos or get the videos?
