Sony originally showed the white and sliver models also. Are these going to be an option still? I am eventually going to get one, but I will wait if there will be something other than black.

Nope, I don't see a different colored PS3 until at least 2-3 years down the road. Unless there are some major advances in Cell technology where they run much cooler and don't require such a massive cooling block within the PS3, then I do not see a slim PS3 in the near future if at all... However They are working on ways to make the PS3 cheaper for sure...When they do, you bet they will offer different colors if the Ps3 does as well as the Ps2 has...

you could always color it yourself...
Japan will prob get the colors as usual anyway.
