VPH-D50Q Sync Problem on Input A only

I would appreciate any suggestions to resolve this problem.

Problem -

With no input signals attached when I press MENU and go to INPUT SELECT
And select INPUT-A the raster goes out of sync along with the MENU also.

I can see about 7 to 8 MENU displays side by side horizonally.

To say the least when I do hook up a HDTV–YpbPa signal it’s also out of sync

What I have tried with no success -

I have set the INPUT-A to HDTV-YpbPr
I have tried both VIDEO MEMORY off and 6
I have tried SYNC OSC 1 and 2
I have tried COLOR SYS to auto, ntsc3.58 and ntsc 4.43

This may be a clue

When I go to MENU and select INPUT INFO the following is always the same

Input memory no 0
->no 0
