I was wondering if people could post places in their area to check out the RS-1. Since it is a new PJ and in high demand I can't seem to find a location to view it and given all of the hysteria both against and for the PJ, I can't seem to trust anyone's views (sorry) without having seen a final version of the PJ myself.

I would really appreciate if anyone could post a location in Chicago see an RS-1 (or HD-1). I know that Magnolia/BBY will carry the HD-1, but my local Magnolia doesn't have a PJ room and they won't likely get a display model for another 2 months at the other Magnolia. Tweeter is going out of business and the little guys don't have access to the RS-1 for display purposes yet (most don't plan on displaying it! ).

I think this thread can serve as a beacon for people looking for good showrooms for PJs that are rare like the RS-1. Please post your city and what the location was (and PJ type as well). A quick note about how "ideal" the viewing environment, screen type and size, and whatever else you can provide will help tremendously. Thanks!

As unfortunate as it may seem there is no need to display this projector since every unit shipped so far is presold and with many orders still not filled. I also think that it is the right thing to do--give the projectors to those who have placed the order and not to a display room for those who are uncommitted to look at. Even if there was surplus stock available to set up in viewing rooms it may not qualify since it does not provide the margin that a bricks and mortar location requires.

Someone was saying that the Seattle Magnolia stores had HD1s on display. You might want to check with your nearest Magnolia.
