HI, ALL
I am going to replace my 9500lc with p19lcp07 instead p19lcp09,
which resistor should remove on the neck card?R33 or R37? your response is great appreciated.

On the neck board, unsolder the pin socket for pin 6, drill it out slightly oversized and unsolder the resistor that attached to that socket. When you put the tube in attach the G2 lead (white flying wire) to pin 6 instead of pin 2.

That's exactly how my own 9500LC is set up. The resistor to be removed is R33, incidentally, and the socket hole should be drilled out to about 1/8 inch so the entire flying lead can be passed through it. This is pretty important as you want the lead to fully engage the G2 pin for the sake of reliability. You do not want the G2 lead to fall off the pin while the PJ is
running as it is almost sure to cause a spot burn on the CRT if you power the unit down while
it is in this condition. And that would suck, bigtime.

Hi, cmjohnson,
I have already follow chuchuf method, which is remove R37.
I test out my 07 new tubes is working well :) :) :) . but according to your method is need to remove R33,is it any conflict to his ideas?

Whichever, it's the surface mounted resistor that's connected directly to pin 6 to ground. That's the one to remove.
This morning I can't remember if it's R33 or R37.

I know it's going to sound as a newbie question, but hey, I don't have any schematic at hand.
Is it a definitive mod, or can a modded neck-board (the way you described) be re-modded in order to accomodate p19lcp09s ?
Thanks

No, the board as modded in this manner is now "universal" and can be used with any P19LCP or P19LUG series tube. Just assign the white G2 flying lead to the
correct G2 pin for that tube. Either it goes to pin 2 or to pin 6, depending.

Loris,
The stock tubes (P19LCP09) don't have anything inside the tube connected to pin 6 on the tube. It is just a pin without connection.
Therefore, disconnecting anything that is on the neck board and goes to pin 6 will have no effect if you decide to put stock tubes back in w/ the drilled out pin 6 hole on the neck board.

Lug requires additonal attention to neck card to make it work properly.
