I am looking to buy my first portable GPS unit. I am confused about which model. it will need to be taken out of the car regularly as I will be parking on the st in London. I will also use this unit in the USA.
I am debating between a smaller unit like the Garmin 360 vs 660 or a TomTom like the 710 or 910
Amazon reviews seem to favor the Nuvi 350 range.

Can anyone help me make up my mind?

Thanks

Being a rookie to this (new to me) technology, I bought a Garmin 670. It has European and USA maps, a Safety Camera alert system (Free 90 day trial), a 4.3” Widescreen, and a FM transmitter so one can hear directions through the car radio speakers. A Bluetooth capability if you have a suitable mobile phone.

The docking station is held in place by a suction cup fixed to the windscreen or a self-adhesive dashboard disc which is supplied. When away from the vehicle the unit can be kept in a jacket pocket, protected by the wallet supplied.

I haven’t used it a great deal as yet, but I am well pleased with this model thus far; albeit not cheap at £415 or thereabouts.
