But its maintained communication with my BD remote.
Um, help? lol I've tried everything I can think of - turning the system off and back on, connecting it to USB - nothing.
The light on the SIXAXIS still reads like its on port 1. I don't know what to do.

It's called a BT disconnect. Sometimes plugging the USB in help it to reconnect, other times turning off the console. I hope once it resumed that the battery stayed full. Mine usually acts "empty" for 10 min and then in "full" again. Very odd.
Yeah, what he said... plug the usb cable in. When I share my controllers between two PS3s I have to sometimes connect the cntroller via usb so it'll link up to the correct ps3; seems like a similar problem.

yeah, thats the first thing I did - connect the USB cable. Didn't work. Eventually after mashing the PS button over and over it finally recognized it. I even tried hard powering the system off.
I only lose my PS3 controller connection when playing PS2 games. Whenever the PS2 game loads or I exit the game, I lose the connection and have to press the PS logo on the controller again...weird.
