I have a small question about BD playback. Is there a way to get BD's to play like DVD's in that when you fire up a BD, is there a way to have it go straight to the menu screen instead of starting the movie on its own? The reason I want to do this is because I like setting all my language, subtitle, and audio settings before starting up the film.
Also, is there a better way to skip all the trailers and legal warnings quickly? As of right now I press R2 or R1 to fastforward through all of that.
Thanks!

Well if you always use the same language and subs on your BRDs then just change the setting under "BD Menu" in the settings tab.
And in regards to it starting straight away I think that's more about how the disc is mastered rather than something a player gets default control on. Think back to DVDs, some would start playing the movie straight off, some would go to Main Menu (well atleast from my experience)
Also about the skiping warnings, I don't think you can, they're there for a reason :P

As far as I know, early Disney titles will start the movie automatically after the warning screens. Not a big deal though. Just pull up the menu, change your settings then do a chapter rewind.

Hit the equivalent of the "Top Menu" or "Pop-up Menu" buttons. This has bypassed trailers on DVDs many times for me but it won't skip the warnings.
