I have built a room within a room dedicated home theater. I'm using an exterior grade door with a rubber seal and threshold hung on the outside wall. I will have a door jam but no door on the theater room. How should I seal the room around the decoupled door jams. There is about 1/2" gap all around the door frame from the outside wall to the theater wall

I am in the planning stage as well and have the same question...

I'll answer my own thread here. I just used 1/2" backer rod and caulking. Can't believe I put that much thought in something that simple.
