Okay, so I shot my first 24p footage last night of my kids indoor. It really was great in terms of being brighter, but I realize that truly cool 24p stuff will probably come with some good outdoor light footage.

I saw where at least someone on here had mentioned removing the 3:2 pulldown in After Effects. I am having a bunch of trouble with After Effects 6.5 recognizing various captured files on import though (ones captured in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 using HDV plugin, HDVSplit captured files renamed to .mpg from .m2t, files exported at very high qualilty WMV settings etc.). I keep getting no AVI compressor, DirectShow Error and such when trying to open these files in After Effects. It seems that about the only thing I could get to work was to convert the .m2t file captured with HDVSplit into an uncompressed AVI. After Effects is okay opening this, but obviously the file size is HUGE.

I certainly don't claim to be an expert with editing, but any insight into an After Effects workflow or another PC based one that makes sense to deal with the pulldown would be appreciated.
