Hello Gang,

I am an American in Sweden at the moment. I thought I might bypass trying to import Studio Canal stuff on HDDVD when I come back, and just by them in Sweden, or Denmark(God I love Region Free!).

I pop my head in stores, but dont see Hi Def stuff. I was wondering a good place for this. or has hi def just not hit the streets yet? Would be nice to grab some Blu exclusives for me and my friends, provided customs does not get me LOL.

Is this a French thing only?

No, it's not just a French thing, but also a German, British, Spanish thing.
Those mentioned have various titles on the market, but as far as I know Scandinavia only offers Universal HD DVDs, which also feature Scandinavian subtitles.
You often see either German, French, Dutch or English subtitles on Studio Canal HD DVDs, because they are published in the respective countries.

we carry the studio canal titles in belgium, and i also saw a batch of them last week in the virgin store downtown london u.k.

not a lot of stores carry them already though so it is possible that you wont find them in denmark yet...

I live in Denmark but do my HD DVD shopping online here.:

Some titles take up to 1-2 weeks.
