I've just moved 40 4x8 and 45 4x12 sheets of sheetrock into my project room. I'm interested in seeing if there is anything I missed based on others experiences prior to closing the walls up. Here's what I have done so far:

1) Dedicated electrical to AV room
2) Dedicated electrical to FP
3) 7.2 speaker runs with two runs of RG6 for subs
4) HDMI, Component, VGA, S-Video, and Ethernet to FP
5) Graphik Eye for zone lighting.
6) Plywood above FP to secure current and future FP's
7) IR repeater wiring to front
8) Insulated
9) Sound insulation
10) 3in conduit from AV room to FP for future runs.
11) Inspections complete

Is there anything else I should check/install prior to closing it up? Was there anything you wish you had done (or had to open up a finished wall later)? Thanks.

I'm assuming your lighting & outlet circuits are complete.

I've looked over your list while eating breakfast & can't see anything else.

You should consider additional Ethernet drops for various networking purposes such as having a really cool wired controller...

Serial to projector? I've run Cat 5e for ethernet but I'm also putting a second run of Cat 5e for serial control.

I ran RG6 on all corners and left and right mid room. You never know with sub placement.

What does a serial connection do at the projector? (I assume you mean run some Cat5e between the AV room and the FP location)

Where do you suggest ethernet drops for controller purposes? (Somewhere around the seating?)

Most projectors have a serial connection for control from an A/V room or rack. Even if yours doesn't it doesn't hurt to have a serial cable to the PJ space for futureproofing.

I didn't see any mention of Content Sources. Like Cable, Satellite, OTA antenna wiring etc. Also Sat box needs phone connection.
