Earlier the projector got bumped and the projected image went blank. I turned it off then on again and all seemed fine till I noticed that the blacks are now slightly blue.

The other colours are fine and the colour balance is fine too.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Also I've noticed that when on standby the blue is lit up right across the raster.

Check the layout and setup tips at http://www.curtpalme.com/ElectrohomeECP.shtm for info on the Blue Gain, notably page 11.
But, wait for others with ECP experience to chime in... blue raster in standby sounds like a bigger problem than tweaked gain.

Hi thanks for the reply, I've checked the blue gain and thats fine. The projector still works ok apart from the blueness so maybe I'll just have to settle with it.

This should be a G2 adjustment issue. See here:

http://www.curtpalme.com/ES_Tube_Projector_Gray_Scale_Adjustment1.shtm

(It's for a Barco, but the same can be applied to the ECP)

Hi Curt, cheers for the reply.

I've just read that page and adjusted the g2's on my projector. The colours looks a lot better now. Problem is that the blue crt still is lit up without image when in standby and also when showing just green or red.

Wish I hadnt bumped it :)

Can't you turn down the blue G2 control so that the tube goes off?

If not, try swapping the blue CRT card with the green or red. The CRT card might be bad, but that would be rare..

HI, I've tried turning the g2 right down but that makes no difference.. Guess I'll have to live with it
