hi,
i have a sony sony vph 1031qm and after many problems its almost working. the colorboard i believe is dead so i need to use rgb to input. the only input is rgb scart.
i made up a cable to coneect an xbox to the projector, checked the pins twice, resoldered, it all works fine except for theres no red channel being displayed. i know theres nothing wrong with the red tube. the green, blue and sync are all perfect.
i previously connected a hdd media player via a component to scart adapter and there were three picture options:
YPbPr which didnt work, displayed green only as expected,
"component" which did exactly what this xbox is doing now, green blue and sync were all fine but no red, im not sure what "component" actually meant, and
RGB, which all the colors worked but there was no sync.
any ideas what might be wrong? im 99% certain the xbox outputs the right signals, and the pins must be right for the picture to be working at all, and there no issue with the red tube being broken
btw the pins i have connected i got plans off the net, they are red, green, blue, +5v, +12v, RGB select, composite (for sync) and ground. im using cat5 ethernet cable for the cable.
