I want to use 2 subs on my 5.1 setup.
My processor (Linn Kisto) has a sub output, and also low level connections to the final amp.
What's the best way to combine these two subs for music AND home cinema?

PLACEMENT?
Funny enough the most linear sound is obtaining if I place a sub BEHIND me, in the left or right corner!

FOR STEREO MUSIC?
Should I just set the processor to STEREO+SUB and loop both subs to the same .1 output?
Or is it better to connect directly from the front speakers?
Is it a good idea to feed one sub with the .1 signal and high level audio tp the other?

SUBS
Got a REL Strata V and an ACI Force XL coming. Maybe I'll sell the REL and order another ACI if I like it.

You want to run both subs of the sub output of your proc.

You'll have to setup each sub independantly, and play with the placement. If you can, first try putting one in the middle of the front wall, and one in the middle of the rear wall behind you.

Yes, will do, I've done some reading and opposite subs are often recommended, so I hope I can extend the WAF just a bit further to allow a front sub.
SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) won't allow fronts to push into the room much further into the room than the back wall, which makes the nasty 95Hz room mode even worse as it is...

95Hz Room mode?

That opens up several questions.

1. Are you sure your polarity isn't reversed?
2. Are your crossovers set too high?
3. Is your distance setting based on actual distance or acoustical distance?
4. What brand subs and main speakers are you running.

Out of curiosity, is it recommended to have the same model (and driver size, etc) if you plan to run two subs or is it okay to have different ones (say like an 8" and a 10")?
