What is the best way to check the rooms Freq response for bass to be sure it is flat? I read of some people in this forum talking about how flat their sub plays in their room. I am looking to checking out my room and making necessary treatments and maybe even a sub upgrade.

You can down load test tones here

Just burn them to a cd.
Or get something like Avia or other test tones. Then just play the disk at a reasonable level and note the numbers. After that, if you are using the rat shack digital spl meter, use the correction table on this site. That's all there is to it.
