Ok, I'm looking to do a small run of BD discs (about 1000).

I'm going transfer 16mm masters to 10-bit uncompressed 1080/24p (23.98sF) .AVI files direct to hard drive.

Can somebody point me in the right direction for encoding? I would like to have it done by people with previous Blu-Ray experience. AVC would be a plus, but I am open to considering Mpeg2 as well.

As for disc replication, I would using single layer BD25 discs. I would prefer BD50, but if I go with BD25 I could use the same encoding for an HD DVD 30 if Blu-Ray were to fail as a format down the road. I don't wish to gamble that HD DVD TL51 discs will become a reality.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have no experience in this field. Thank you.

You could try contacting a new company called Edge of Light:

1000 might be tough for a replicator, PacificDisc (who does visit this forum) starts at 5000:

Yes, unfortuately our (PacificDisc's) minimum order is 5000 discs for a new title and 2500 for a re-order. Add to that a $2500 mastering fee on any order smaller than 10000.

I'm not sure you'll find anyone who will produce just 1000 BD discs at this time.

Sorry

Just wondering if you ever found a resolution for your project. Let us know if you can find someone to produce 1000 discs.

Thanks

Well this company usadubs.com has a good reputation, and has previously done Blu-ray work. Give them a call and try.
