I ordered a sammy 4253 in February from Frys.com, but canceled the order the same day after I realized that amazon had a better shipping policy. There was some confusion on Fry's end on whether the unit had been shipped or not. That was clarified after about two weeks and all that my refund was waiting for was a signature from a manager.
I've been very patient waiting for my refund, but 60 days have passed and it's still not here. When I call the customer support people they say that its all ready to go, should be signed that afternoon, should post in 72hrs, etc. What are my legal avenues to get the money back? Should I contact the BBB or a government agency? Do I report to my credit card company that I've been billed for services not received? I'm sick of giving Fry's an interest free loan. Thanks in advance.

I would still stay patient and see what develops within the next 72 hours. If there is nothing that happens call back to speak with a manager.
The downfall to Frys.com and Fry's Retail store's is that they are NOT connected at all. They are separate entities. If you have a problem online you will need to deal with Frys.com and not their retail stores. That is complete a disadvantage going forward. I talked to representative during the holiday season and they said that they hope to merge and become as one company, but right now they feel as if they increase their customer base by offering lower prices on the internet and increase their prices in their retail stores. Also they do not price match from the website and their retail stores.

You can submit a claim to your CC company and they will investigate. I would call them now so they can put a stop to or remove any finance charges. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with doing this and actually is a proper course of action - you currently have a charge on your CC for product you have not received.

have you gotten your card statement where it was charged? if so at least call your card company and have them note it on your account. if no refund in this 72 hours go ahead and file/start a dispute with your card comapny.

It was on my February bill. I just got an email back from Frys and it is still pending signature. I'm going to have to move forward with another course of action, I thought they'd be able to handle this but apparently not.
If I file with the BBB, will I be entitled to 60 days worth of interest as well?
You need to file a dispute with your cc company, not just the BBB. Some credit companies will refund the interest - yours will be able to answer that for you.

Well it seems like Fry's just can't figure anything out. I've filed with the BBB and am working with my CC company. Is there anything else I can do? It's been almost 10 weeks.

This isn't the forum for this. We are a technical site for the discussion and support of/for flat panel TVs.
I hope everything works out.
