Hi,

I will be doing a lot of indoor filming, often under poor lighting conditions. Can anyone tell me the top low-light performing cameras in the under $2,000 range. 20x optical zoom would be a big plus.
Thanks,
RObert

The Sony's PD170 and VX2100 are about equal and light years better than any lower priced competition. They are a little above your price range but not much. Don't mess around with anything else if low-light performance is important. Nobody knows how the lower priced camcorders rank with each other but they all suck when compared to these 2 models. There has been a $300 factory rebate on the PD170 and B&H did have them on sale. I don't know if that sale is still valid.
