Just set up my panny ax 100u. Ceiling mounted 12.5 feet from 110 inch carada BW screen. Lens center is about 11 inches from ceiling and top of screen is about 16 from ceiling. Using Chief universal RPA mount. Projector and screen are level.
When I project on the screen the top of the image is level and the right side is totally perpendicular but the left side of the image has a slight trapezoid effect coming in at the top. If I keystone it corrects with -1 but then the right side comes in at the bottom a little. Tried numerous times to correct with turning projector and lens shift but cant fix this. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated......

When you say the screen is level, have you checked to ensure that the screen is plumb along its entire length?

Thanks for responding. Well I used a large level and went all along the top and bottom of the frame and the screen itself and it sure seemed level.
How "slight" is the trapazoid effect without using keystone? These babies are not engineered to be perfect which is why most people have a small amount of overspill that is absorbed by the black border of the screen.
I have this PJ (my first) and originally just plopped it on a TV tray pointing up at the screen and had a similar effect. But when I put a shelf unit behind the couch and now have nearly perfect center of the lens pointing to the center of the screen, all four corneres are 90 degrees.

Hey Raiderrock.I have the almost same setup as you.Carada 110bw and ax100 at 13ft,Yes I have the same problem to.I thought my screen was not level. But it was.Projector was also level.Easy fix just spill the pic over a littel and you will not ever notice it.Also if you are new at this/For 2.35 movies.I pick up some black cloth at walmart and just fold it in half and lay it on top of the carada. Then I use the lens shift and place the pic at bottom of screen and fold down the one half of the fabric to top of pic.No bars and it looks killer.A cheap way of getting a 2.35 screen and still keeping the 16.9 screen for that.THANKS BOB

Thanks for the advise. I have it spilling over a little and you are right it is almost impossible to notice. Just seems weird it is doing it.

I've noticed something that I am curious about. About 1/4 inch from the bottom and the top, I have a very thin line that stretches across the full lenth of the screen. It doesn't really bother me much, but it's there and I'd like to know what it is. Any ideas?

A very thin line of what? 1/4" seems quite small and can be "sized" in the menus without touching your zoom.
