First, I know based on room size, neither one is ideal but i'm on a budget. Second, this is not my end all sub and would need to pacify me for the next 2 years. I've already spent my "allowance" on other toys so the WAF has given me very little to work with. so.........

.......your room is 3,500 cf. If you had a choice between a new-in-box PS12 for $120, a VTF-2.1 on fleabay for around $150 or so, or continue using the cheap Onkyo 10" sub that came with HTIB, which one would you pick? If you could tell me why, that would be great.

The sub would be paired with Infinity Primus 360's, C25, and 150's with an Onkyo HT-530 reciever from the HT-780 HTiB.

If you can find the VTF on fleabay I'd go for it. Otherwise stick to your onkyo and save some more.

EDIT

Just looked on fleabay. The one ending soonest is already out of your budget (thanx to S&H padding by owner) and the other got 4 days to go and is close to your budget.

I'm somewhat fortunate that i have friends that live in LA and Bay Area and travel the SJ valley once or twice a month on business. Therefore, they are willing to pick up either one for me to save on shipping. I'm sure though by the close of the bid, it will be much higher but thanks for looking into it.
