I'm switching out my Z1 with my new Z5. I'm having a problem getting the activities programed in my 880 to switch between Component and HDMI correctly. I've got my DVD players connecting to an HDMI switch which then feeds the HDMI 2 input on the PJ. I've got my cable, sat and PVR feeding into a component switch that then connects to the Comp 2 input on the PJ.

When I toggle between HDMI and Comp inputs, I have to cycle through Comp1 then to Comp2. Same with HDMI, since I was last in HDMI2, I land in HDMI1 when i re-select the activity and then have to manually hit the HDMI button again.

Is there any way to specify Comp2 and HDMI2 from the remote direclty. Even the Sanyo remote forces you to cycle through them. It's a real PIA.

Btw- the Harmony loader app allows you to choose between the 1 and 2 in the setup but this seems to do nothing.

Bump because I have this same problem and would like to know if anyone has found a workaround. I'd hate to have to add an HDMI and Component custom button to every activity just so that I don't have to start activity, then go to device screen, then projector, then push the input button, then back to the activity.

This is a crappy workaround as I did this as a "quick" fix. Its in the activity setup for each activity using HDMI/Component...

First, select the composite input as default. Then add a command select either HDMI or Component (this selects the first input always). If you require the second input, just add another command to do so.

Where this falls short is if there is a problem while starting up an activity and you press "help". It will select the composite input and not issue the further commands.

Ideally there should be a discrete remote code for each input. I've not spent the time to find if this is truly available. Anyone else?
