I know the Gefen is a 4x2 switcher so I can have my DVR, X-BOX 360 and
PS3 (+ maybe OPPO ) all hooked up to my Sony CRT KV-40XBR800 and my Sanyo Z5 PJ at the same time, and the Mono is only 4x1 which means
that I would have to plug and unplug stuff. The Gefen is $500 + and the
Mono is $60+ what I'm asking is : is the quality of the Gefen alot better than the Monoprice, or are there other 4x2 switches that cost less but that
are dependable. Sorry for the noob ?

You can alway put a splitter on the output of the monoprice and get the same effect. You'd save a whole lot of money.
