I'm new to the forums so please let me know if I should be posting this elsewhere. I haven't purchased a new TV in over 10 years and definitely need some input before I start to go and look at different models in person. I need two TV's
#1. Willing to spend upt to 5k on something for a 59.5" W x 37" H x 30" D space above my fireplace in our great room. Lots of ambient light- will be on for sports and news during the day and then movies/dvd's at night. I do have a home network and HDTV via Direct TV dish. I had only considered LCD initially but have looked closer at plasma after reading threads on this site.

#2. Need another solid (1-1.5K) TV for the master bedroom- will be in an armoire (not on the wall) 45.5"W x 42.5" H x 22" D. Watched mainly at night and early morning. Should I still consider CRT here or rear projection over the same LCD/plasma choices?
