I was wondering if anybody wall mounted their plasma, yet set it up so that they didn't have to run cables through the wall, nor install a power outlet behind the TV. How did you get your cables from the TV to all your components and the power outlet without running them behind the wall?

I've seen some solutions, like >>THIS<< (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-b6tpXqEH8pr/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=304750&I=677WS12NT), which seems to work quite well (there's a video of the installation process if you click the "photos + video" tab). I think some other people buy some sort of tubing from home depot to conceal the wires too...

So, can anyone share an experience and/or photos of their pseudo wall mount setup? Thanks! :)

You could buy some 1x lumber and build a u-shaped channel that you could mount on the wall with the cables hidden in the channel. Just stain or paiint it to match the wall or your trim-whatever works for you or the mrs. Wouldn't be invisible, but would certainly be cheaper than most of the commercial channels out there, and you could size it however deep and wide you need to handle your cables.

Yeah, to me that thing seems too expensive for a piece of plastic to hide a couple of wires.

In the video that shows it being installed, I chuckled a little when she called it a "home theater system" when it's just a TV with no additional speakers. :)

A product i bought recently should do the trick. I got an iConceal of Ebay for about $60.

It's basically an extendable aluminum conduit in which you can run your cables.

(You might be able to find them cheaper on eBay tho)

It's easy to fit and looks cool.
