I just purchased a 500gig My Book USB Harddrive. Can I hook it up to an USB port on the 360 and play video files?

format it to FAT32, you'll need a third party program because windows doesnt support formatting of FAT32 on a drive that large.

then you'll be able to watch wmv's off the drive. or any file format that would work on the media blade with a thumb drive. cant remember exactly what is supported cause i use MCE and it supports a little more.


good news though, spring update is bringing support for more file formats.
