Is anyone else having problems getting the April 07 upgrade for their X3000? Here is the ticket I submitted to neodigits support:

I'm trying to upgrade my x3000 to the latest firmware, but failing miserably. Trying to do it through the player's online method, when I get to the screen where it details the steps for upgrading, there is nowhere on the screen that I can see to pick the version I want to upgrade to. It appears that there might be something off the bottom of the screen, but no matter what I try, I always end up with the Oct06 upgrade selected, which is incorrect for my system as I am currently running the Jan07 firmware.

Oh, second point, the 60-52-061218-01-HLO-288-000 isn't one of the listed options to upgrade from, even though in the screenshot on the upgrade page, that is the firmware version in the small graphic.

Third, I tried to upgrade with the USB method, but every time I try to open the zipfile I downloaded from the "downloads" section of the neodigits site, I get a corrupt zipfile error. I've tried downloading it multiple times.

I can't believe they don't have a user forum section on their website, then again considering how crappy their software is I don't blame them for not wanting to scare off potential suckers^H^H^H^H^H^Hcustomers...

Ditto.... Cannot select proper upgrade from the online upgrade, and when downloading the .zip file, it is corrupted.

I'm still waiting for respons from neodigits.... :(

I've been looking to purchase this unit as I need componenet upconversion. Would you really think me a sucker for buying this unit?

It's pretty unpolished. I've not been real impressed with their tech support, waiting four months for a patch to fix a problem playing DVDs isn't great in my book. The unit responds really slowly to commands at times, at others it will jump through two or three screens.

The mp3 interface is horrible, like something some highschool kid wrote on his first try. Navigation is nearly impossible, especially if your library has more than a few folders in it.

The image viewing interface suffers from the same problems as the mp3 interface. It's just really a PITA to get to anything in particular. No thumbnails either.

The output from the unit is fine, the picture looks good, and the sound is good, no real complaints there.

The DVD drive is noisy as hell. I can hear it clearly even during a movie, the unit is inside a cabinet with a closed glass door.

If you get a first gen remote control... I don't understand how that kind of workmanship makes it out the door.

This last fiasco with the patch being screwed up on the website and whatnot was pretty lame too. It's like they have no quality control whatsoever. I don't really know what the rest of the landscape looks like for media streamers, but all-in-all I'd say keep looking. If I could send mine back, I would.
