I need a 32" LCD for gaming with my 360. Speakers must be on the bottom (TV can be no wider than 32"). Price: $1000 and I really want to get it at Best Buy if possible. I will be sitting around 4' away give or take a few inches.

I had a few in mind:
Toshiba Regza 32HL67
Sharp Aquos LC-32D43U
LG 32LC7D
Westinghouse LTV-32w6

I was also looking at the Samsung, but the newer models are a couple hundred more than I can spend.

if it were me, i'd go with the Westinghouse LTV-32W6

prepare for a large thread with everyone forming their own opinion about everything.

honestly i'd go to the dedicated threads for each of those models in the display technologies forums and see what all the owners are saying about them. i have a westinghouse, and there are very few westinghouse owners that arent completely satisfied.

now i dont own the 32". because the 37" cost me 800 shipped :D

I play on a cheap $400 LCD and it looks fine. Any of those choices should be good.

Yeah I expeted a large thread. I have been checking the dedicated model threads as well. I learned a lot about LCD's and gaming in general. I was leaning towards the Westy due to the $699 price tag, but I have also been looking real close and the Toshiba and Sharp. Decisions, decisions. :)

Well there are a number of screens to choose from. I would go Toshiba then LG before any thing else mentioned above. Dont forget that Gateway and HP also make screens as well.

I have the Sharp and i have the westinghouse and they both look exceptionally great if you use the VGA connection and calibrate your TV. when i was in the store they both looked less than stellar compared to the other tv's but thats because people mess with the settings and the westinghouse comes out the box with strong contrast and brightness. once i got them home and calibrated the settings i didnt go wrong with either. if your money is tight you wont be dissappointed with the westinghouse. IMO its all about proper calibration though

True proper calibration is key, but I have seen two many low end sets out there which give you next to nothing to work with in terms of adjustment. Thats why I always try to recomend Sony or Mitsu displays.
