I recall that the HV10 could transfer to a Mits but noy JVC. Anyone try this yet? Ken Ross 04-21-07, 05:28 PM JVC will not accept the bitrates of any HDV unit. Star56 04-21-07, 06:07 PM JVC will not accept the bitrates of any HDV unit. That's what I thought. But I believe the Mits will accept it and encode the info on DVHS tape and it can be played back through the JVC. juancmjr 04-21-07, 10:11 PM Star56, I have the HV20 and the Mitsu HSHD2000U DVHS recorder which when I tried to transfer my test footage to DVHS through Firewire the recorder wouldn't recognize the camera. One may have to actually select the 1394 out on the camera as opposed to all outputs being on at once because when I try to select DV out through the menu it is grayed out therefore inaccessible. I'm sure a quick read of the manual should fix that. :D jpmaximus 06-25-07, 03:17 AM So using a Sony HDR-HC3 camcorder with a JVC D-vhs deck will not work for transferring my dv footage to a DVhs tape? DaveKennett 06-26-07, 06:10 PM I know JVC HD1-HD10 works, and I think other JVCs will. KyaDawn 07-02-07, 12:30 AM I've tried this myself in the past and it didn't work. I believe the max bitrate of D-VHS is 23.5mb/s while HDV is 25mb/s, therefore too high to be compatible with D-VHS. |
